ABS
Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene is a common thermoplastic polymer typically used for injection molding applications or in FDM 3D printing.
Acetone treatment
A post processing treatment applied to 3D printed ABS parts to smooth the surface and eliminates any visible layer lines and gives a clean and smooth surface finish.
Additive manufacturing
It's another name for 3D printing. It describes the various technologies that build 3D objects by adding a layer to another of material, whether it is plastic, metal or concrete.
Anisotropic
A material that has varying physical properties when measured in different directions. Composites and 3D printed FDM objects are an example.
Auto-Leveling
It is the automatic detection of z height using a sensor and automatically adjusting the nozzle position as it moves across the bed. So if your build platform is slighly unleveled, the firmware will make small adjustments to the z-axis while printing to ensure the nozzle is always at the perfect distance from the print bed.
